Ethiopia DIRE DAWA-DEWELLE Highway project is a major transportation project funded by the Export-Import Bank of China. The highway is about 220 km long, and the construction standard is 7 meters wide and 5 cm thick single layer of asphalt concrete, with 2 by 1.5m at the highway shoulder. Upon completion, the project will significantly improve Ethiopia's domestic traffic conditions, and provide a new impetus for the economic development in Ethiopia.
