Djibouti transnational water supply project

Djibouti-Ethiopia transnational water supply project is funded by the Export-Import Bank of China to supply water from Ethiopia to Djibouti City. Project design includes the construction of dozens of water wells, reservoirs, the supply and installation of 102-kilometer water distribution pipelines. This project is one of the largest water projects in East Africa. When completed, it will completely solve the drinking water problem in Djibouti. It is an important strategic project in Djibouti country.
