CGCOC mining exploration work has been fully carried out in Nigeria, Ethiopia, Chad, and Uganda. Based on decades of intensive-cultivation in Africa, rich professional experience and skills, scientific and efficient management methods and measures, and flexible and diverse operations, CGCOC has built up a unique overseas mining exploration and operation system. By the virtue of quick identification of high-quality oversea exploration targets, international-standard-compliant mineral exploration, scientific and rational resource assessment, we continue to improve the value of mining rights, serve the development of large-scale mining enterprises, thereby achieving mutual benefits and win-win between domestic and foreign partners.
CGCOC has more than 30 years of operation in Nigeria. Since the inception of mineral exploration work in 2006, we have been granted about 60 prospecting and mining rights, including niobium, tantalum, lead, zinc, copper, tungsten, tin and coal mines. Meanwhile, in order to quickly achieve prospecting breakthrough, CGCOC established a rock and mineral analysis laboratory in Nigeria, basically meeting the analysis needs of gold, silver, copper, lead, zinc, iron, tungsten, tin, molybdenum, nickel, chromium, manganese and other elements.

Since August 2014, CGCOC cooperate with local companies in Uganda to undertake Busia gold mine exploration work. The project is located in the Lake Victoria Greenstone area, with orogenic gold deposits hosted in greenstone belts and BIF host rock. Early exploration has delineated two north-south gold belts, of 3.6 km and 2 km long respectively. The 22 drilling revealed good continuity of gold found in the mineral body, with an average grade of 1.96g/t. In 2014, CGCOC will work a total of 2,500 meters of drilling, and it has been basically completed. Drilling work shows that ore bodies have excellent continuity in the depth and direction, and tends to get rich and deep. Samples have been sent to the laboratory for analysis.
