The President of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania Visited CGCOC Office

On the morning of September 15^th, Mr. Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz, the President of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania visited our office in Beijing and met the president of CGCOC GROUP.

16 people followed Mr. President, including the Minister of Economic Affairs and Development, the Minister of Energy and Mineral Oil, the Minister of Fishery and Ocean Economy, the Ministry of Business, Industry and Tourism, and the Minister of Water Conservancy and Treatment. The Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China in Mauritania also attended the meeting. Mr. President was invited to have a state visit to China during September 9^th to 16^th and attended the opening ceremony of 2015 China-Arab States Expo in Yinchuan.

The President of CGCOC GROUP, Mr. Ji Weimin expressed his warmest welcome to His Excellency and distinguished guests, and made a pledge of willingness to make constant efforts help promote sustainable economic development in Mauritania.

The senior manager of Marketing Department, Mr. Li Jia gave a overall introduction on 30 years’ development in Africa. Mr. Ji expressed that CGCOC is willing to deepen cooperation under the tradition cooperation framework in the fields of infrastructure construction, mining and fishery, and to expand cooperation in emerging areas of agriculture, hydroelectric power and clean energy and to share the experience in setting up industrial park in Africa.

Mr. President said he was interested in the business CGCOC had in Africa and he invited CGCOC to enter Mauritania, hoping that bilateral cooperation on water supply, electric power, clean energy and fishery could be tightened and implanted. At last, Mr. President expressed his appreciation for the warm reception by CGCOC.

Others who also attended the meeting were, Mr. Sun Guoqiang and Mr. Yuan Fengjun vice president of CGCOC GROUP, and Mr. Liu Hua, the Director of Marketing Department.
