In January 2016, CGCOC was invited to attend the China High Technology Exhibition held in Egypt. Chairman Xi and Egyptian Prime Minister Ismail visited the exhibition together, listened to reports from CGCOC, and praised and affirmed the achievements made by our company.
In May 2014, during Premier Li Keqiang’s first visit to Africa, he hosted the China-Africa ETC Forum. At the meeting, CGCOC made a special report on agricultural cooperation between China and Africa. Premier Li has repeatedly asked in detail about important issues such as technology , joint venture cooperation, and improvement of people's livelihood. He also emphasized that as a long-term Chinese company rooted in overseas, it is necessary to graft Chinese agricultural technology, Help African people, do good deeds, and benefit the local people.
On September 2, 2018, the CCGOC leaders met in Beijing with Muhammadu Buhari, the Nigerian President who came to China for a state visit and participated in the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation. The CGCOC has been worked in Nigeria for 35 years. When reviewing this history together, CGCOC leaders expressed their gratitude to the Nigerian government and people for the opportunities brought to the CGCOC. The President also expressed his gratitude to the Chinese government and Chinese enterprises for their contributions in various areas of economic and social development in Nigeria.
On September 1, 2018, Senegalese President Macky SALL met with the leaders of the CGCOC in Beijing. President Sall expressed appreciation for CGCOC's work on cooperation between China and Senegal, Sichuan and Senegal, and held in-depth exchanges on the next step of comprehensive cooperation between the two sides.
On August 30, 2018, Mr. Capolé, President of Burkina Faso, met with the Chairman of CGCOC in Beijing. The two sides Made a discussion in some important field for China-Burkina Faso cooperation. Mr. Capolé said that CGCOC hard working in Africa for more than 20 years and its a reliable partner. He hopes that CGCOC will contribute to the implementation of Burkina Faso's economic and social development plan.
In November 2015, the Sixth China-Africa Cooperation Forum Summit was held in Johannesburg, South Africa. During the meeting, CGCOC was invited to attend the Equipment Manufacturing Exhibition of China and exhibited our Adama wind power project of phase I and II in Ethiopia. The main leaders of CGCOC made a special report to Chairman Xi and obtained the affirmation.
CGCOC signed a series of contracts in areas including agriculture, industry and new energy recently as the economic cooperation agreements between China and Africa that witnessed by Chinese Premier Li Keqiang, during his official visit to Africa. In May 6th, Ji Weimin, president of CGCOC group, signed agreement with Ethiopia's Industry Ministry to construct and develop industrial zone in the country.Other contracts include the Dire Dawa-Dewelle road construction project signed in Ethiopia in May 4th, the seed supply contract and solar power station project signed in Nigeria in May 7th. Premier Li Keqiang launched a four-nation visit to Africa from May 4th to May 11th, during which Li outlined six key areas of cooperation between China and Africa including industry, finance, poverty reduction and environmental protection sectors.
On September 15th, 2015, Mauritanian President Mohamed Ould Abdulaziz and his entourage visited the group headquarters at the invitation of the CGCOC, to have a friendly meeting and conduct in-depth exchanges with the main group leaders.
On October 15th, 2015, the main leaders of the CGCOC paid official calls to the Chadian President Idriss Déby who was on a visit to Beijing.
On April 22nd, 2015, the main leaders of the CGCOC made an official visit to the newly-elected President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari.
As a global mining summit forum and exhibition, China Mining Congress and Expo is one of the largest mining exploration and development trading platforms in the world. In order to strengthen exchanges with domestic and foreign mining enterprises and seek more opportunities for cooperation,CGCOC and the Malian Ministry of Mines jointly participated in the exhibition.
On the afternoon of October 22nd, 2014, CGCOC attended the bilateral talks between the Ministry of Land and Resources of PRC and the Ministry of Mines of Mali, and signed a cooperation memorandum of understanding and a cooperation agreement for the joint building of the Malian National Mining Laboratory with the Ministry of Mines of Mali
On December 11th, 2017, Li Xuhui, the vice president of CGCOC and the president of CGCOC Agricultural Development Co., Ltd. attended the Fourth China-Africa Agricultural Cooperation Prosemina jointly hosted by the Chinese Ministry of Agriculture and the People's Government of Hainan Province.
On June 15th, 2015, the main leaders of the CGCOC made an official visit to the Ethiopian Prime Minister Haile Maryam. The two sides conducted friendly and in-depth discussions on a series of core economic cooperation of CGCOC in Ethiopia.
In September 2014, the main leaders of the CGCOC made an official visit to the Malian President Ibrahim Bubakar Keita. The two sides conducted in-depth exchanges on the implementation of the guiding documents on cooperation in mining development signed by the President during his visit to China.

On December 5, the ceremony to rename the Group’s Chinese name and celebrate its 12th anniversary was held at the Group’s headquarter. At its 12th anniversary, the Group was renamed as CGC Overseas Group in Chinese (formerly known as CGC Overseas Construction Group in Chinese). Renaming the Group marks the Group’s new positioning as a multinational company, branching out its core business from singular focus on construction to a multiple of business offerings, such as consultation, investment, infrastructure construction, property, logistics and leasing.
